"No matter what song she sings, the listener is always taken on an adventure or experience, only the direction of the journey changes. You are carried, height above ground, with the speed of sail determined by the core of Rebecca's co-writers Junichi and Gino. The listener is but a sailing-ship, her musicians the wind, sometimes strong and gusty while other times light and inviting. During the instrumentals this wind sweeps out of control, pushed along on quite a ride, and then more magic as Rebecca re-enters, taking control, "tacking" port or starboard. For Rebecca is the captain, steering us this way or that taking us on such an emotional journey you’d never imagine possible. Rebecca will soon be based in EUROPE where she will be recording tracks for her next album - a collection of her favourite songs including a couple of Brel tracks. Rebecca will be recording her new ORIGINAL songs on a FREYjA album in 2005 but in the meantime, Rebecca will be releasing a bunch of standard jazz songs she did not pen herself but just loves to sing. So many people ask her for recordings of standards which she performs so beautifully & so ATLAST! it is on its way. The new songs she has written will just have to wait.

A NEW CD WILL BE RECORDED THIS YEAR 2004. Many of you are wondering where we have been!? Well we are laying low, writing the next one & working hard to raise support for yet another Independent project. You'll be hearing from us, so sign the guestbook & get on the mailing list! Rebecca is playing Viola in Night Sky's Production of TWELFTH NIGHT.
Bring your picnic blankets & champagne! for SHAKESPEARE UNDER THE STARS in COOGEE in the rotunda ampi-theatre at the south park end of Coogee $15 dollar donation part of which goes towards charity for the Children's Hospital.

Late 2003 - 2004 FREYjA has had some time off while Rebecca has focused on her work in theatre once again. She has also been busy building up her corporate business Jazzabella Muzic which is going great guns. There will however be a new album this year so stay-tuned!

Bye Bye Angel (from first CD FREYjA) won best Jazz Song & Magnolia (from The Siren's Odyssey CD) won best Performer Award for a cover song.
James Reyne presented the Awards Ceremony & Rebecca performed with Gino to a packed house of 500.

MAY 02 Rebecca & Gino will be performing one set Tuesday 28th May at 9.15pm, Empire Hotel (crnr Johnstone st & Parramattaa rd Annandale). Also on the bill of this Pop Tarts Session are Sarah McGregor, Oliivia Eden & the incomparable, Amanda Easton.

JUNE NEWS!!! Rebecca has been booked to sing the French national Anthem at Australia versus France Rugby Union match at Australia Stadium Sat 29th June. Potential televised to potential audience of 40million, eeek!!!!

MAY 02 Rebecca has been recording at Reel Spirit Studios, a great studio!!
The new song "Somewhere" is finally recorded with local band ASM & ready to be included on Lin Sutherland's awesome travel/ underwater documentary "Eternal Blue".
